Rusen yliopisto "Angel Kanchev" (UR)

Rusen yliopisto "Angel Kanchev" (UR) is the only university in the districts of Ruse, Razgrad, Silistra and Targovishte, serving a population of around one million people. It has established itself as a driving force and a key guarantor for the development of the regions it serves and is the largest university and an academic leader in the Bulgarian–Romanian cross-border region along the Danube.

UR is a full member of the European University Association (EUA), the Danube Rectors’ Conference (DRC), the Visegrad University Association (VUA), the Inter-University Centre Dubrovnik and the Balkan University Association (BUA). It has earned a leading position in terms of the number and scale of cross-border and transnational projects implemented in the region and is recognised as a trusted partner by universities and institutions across Europe.
