George Sharkov

George Sharkov is the Director of ESI CEE and a recognized leader in AI and cybersecurity at the EU level. He actively contributes to expert groups and panels, shaping policies and practices in these fields. As an Associate Professor at the Institute for ICT at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Head of the Cyber Security Lab, he combines academic rigor with industry expertise. George also lectures at Plovdiv University, Sofia University, and New Bulgarian University, dedicating himself to advancing education and mentoring future professionals, aligning perfectly with the goals of the GenAISA project.
