Reunión de lanzamiento para el lanzamiento de la Academia de habilidades de IA generativa
The Generative AI Skills Academy (GenAISA) project officially began with a successful kick-off meeting on December 3–4, 2024, bringing together partners from across Europe to chart the path for addressing the critical skills gap in generative AI technologies. Held a hybrid form in-person and online, the meeting set the stage for the project’s innovative approach to developing two tailored curricula for higher education (HE) and vocational education and training (VET).
During the meeting, the partners reviewed the project’s ambitious aims and collaborative strategy. Key discussions revolved around the creation of ESCO-compliant generative AI job profiles, such as “Generative AI Engineer” and “Prompt Engineer,” as well as the design of micro-credentials to certify learners’ competencies. A comprehensive skills gap analysis was also launched, involving data collection on existing training programs and expert interviews to identify future demands in generative AI.
Innovative Tools and Piloting Strategy
The partners agreed on using advanced tools, including an online survey platform and job advertisement analysis, to refine the curricula and target learner needs effectively. Plans for a Digital Skills Passport, MOOC, and Virtual World were detailed, with the first iterations expected within six months. The piloting phase will engage 200 beneficiaries across five countries to test the developed resources, ensuring their effectiveness in diverse educational and professional settings.
Commitment to Quality and Impact
Quality assurance and risk management were emphasized, with partners committing to a peer-review system to maintain high standards. Dissemination strategies were also discussed, including the launch of a project website and branding initiatives to maximize outreach. The consortium’s shared vision was clear: to empower individuals and industries by equipping them with cutting-edge skills in generative AI, fostering innovation and sustainable growth.
The kick-off meeting marked the beginning of an exciting journey, with partners unified in their dedication to creating impactful educational resources for the AI-driven future. Follow the project’s progress on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter (X)
